FaunaVision Van Takes the
Classroom to the Streets

Since February 2001, COK's FaunaVision van has cruised the streets of Washington, D.C., on Friday nights, exposing what really goes on behind the closed doors of factory farms, slaughterhouses, fur farms, and circuses. The van has now made more than 75 tours, changing both the minds and consumer habits of countless people.

COK receives wonderful feedback from individuals who come across the mobile theater, illustrating the positive impact the FaunaVision is having on behalf of the animals.

Below are just a few encouraging messages we've gotten…

"Seeing your van last Friday night pretty much sealed the deal on my transition to veganism. Thank you, I think… I'm sure the nightmares about pork slaughterhouses will go away with time."

"All I was trying to do was have a good time with my friends on a Friday night, but then I saw your TV van. I never thought about the animals I ate, but now I will. Thank you for opening my eyes. I'm going to work on becoming a vegan."

"When I saw the horrible video playing on your van in Georgetown last week, I almost started crying…and I haven't been able to stop seeing those scenes in my head. I haven't been able to eat any meat, eggs, cheese, or anything else from an animal all week! I guess that means something…I guess I'm veg. Thank you for showing me how we hurt animals with our diets. I had no idea but now that I do, I'm doing something about it."

"Thank you for being out with your great van! I've been vegan for five years, but have gotten lazy about activism. Seeing the van is exactly the push I needed. I'm back at college now and will do what I can to promote veganism and animal rights to the students here. Again, thanks!"
